The foundation of the Shipyard Brewing Company is their flagship brand Shipyard Export Ale, first brewed in 1992. This hoppy, full-bodied ale has a hint of sweetness up front with a very clean finish. It pairs well with chicken, pork, and seafood.

The Shipyard Brewing Company was founded in Portland, Maine by a brewer and an entrepreneur in 1994. Since then it has grown to become the 19th largest craft brewery in the United States and encompasses a wide variety of beer. Maine’s largest brewery produces 17 varieties of English style and seasonal ales and 7 flavors of hand-crafted Capt’n Eli’s Soda.
“We use only top quality ingredients and pride ourselves on the consistency and freshness of our products. All our beer is hand crafted from recipes developed by master brewer Alan Pugsley, one of the most influential people in the craft brewing movement in North America.”
